Uploading Pictures

What kind of file do I need to upload?
The website at present can only facilitate a jpeg file.
To check the file is a jpeg right click on the actual picture file. A list of options will pop up with "Properties" at the bottom. Click on "Properties." A window will open with two tabs at the top, "General" and "Summary." The “General” tab is displayed and you can view the type of file.

What kind of resolution does the picture need to be?
To check the print resolution of the picture click on the colour resolution proof button. If you magnify this proof up to 200% you will be able to view the sharpness of the picture. If the picture is blurred then the picture resolution may not be of high enough quality to send to print. If the picture is clear at 200% then the printed quality will be fine.

Do I have to use a digital camera?
Ideally digital cameras produce the best quality pictures. If you are using a picture taken using a camcorder or mobile phone please refer to the section above which details how you can check the resolution of the picture. The quality of the picture sometimes is often not as good from mobile phones or camcorders.

What kind of picture works best?
Simple ones. If you look at the pictures we took you may get an idea. Try to keep background noise to a minimum. We can work with colour or black & white pictures.

Online Proofs

Can I see a proof?
Your card can be proofed free online and so you can check all the details are correct before you place an order. Please note that once an order is placed it will be printed exactly how the details and picture appear on the screen.

General Enquries

Can I post in a photo?
Unfortunately the babycards website is purely an online business and all the order process has to be completed online. We do not have the facilities to scan in hard copy photos at present. If you have a hard copy photo hopefully a friend or work colleague may be able to help you download the picture to your computer so you can create your own unique babycard.

Can I get samples of the cards?
We have sample cards available for you to view. If you wish a sample pack to be posted to you please email your details to info@babycards.co.uk

Can I order more cards?
Because of the volume of orders received by babycards the orders are deleted from the system once they have been delivered. Therefore if you wish to order more cards you will have the go through the order process again.

We are presently working on a facility which will allow you to type in your original order number and it will retrieve your previous order. However, the facility is only in testing mode at the moment.

What if I change my mind and wish to cancel the order?
Completed orders are non-refundable and returns are not accepted. Once the card has been printed we are not able to make changes or refund your money.

Delivery

How will my order be delivered?
Your order will be delivered through our standard courier service. Please note if you are not at home when the courier calls, a calling card will be left for you to contact the courier to arrange a new delivery time. Cards are delivered 5 working days from receipt of order and an email will be sent to you informing you of the estimated date of delivery.

Billing Enquiries

Who will be billing me for the babycards order?
The Print Partners Group owns and operates the Babycards websites.
On your credit card statement the debit name for the order will be The Print Partners.

What are your payment methods and how are they received?
Payment is done via Realex Merchant Services who offer a secure online payment system. We accept Visa and MasterCards.
